“Family portrait project” is not really a project but a personal collection of portraits of my family. I simply felt the need to point the camera in my own home. I just want to have memories of us, of the holidays we spent together, of their faces before they’re changed by time, before they disappear. I started when I realized that my grandparents were getting really old and I was moving away, perhaps driven by the fear that I had nothing left to testify how close we were, how much we suffered and rejoiced. I’m afraid of the time that’s going to take all this away from me. These shots are just for myself.
