This project has meant a lot to me because it has allowed me to give voice to the different people who have been involved, but also to my way of seeing people and things. The core of this first attempt is to demonstrate how relevant communication with the subject is, especially nowadays. I asked these women to express what “being a woman” means to them, and each subject gave me the chance to interpret their own words, to work, and play with their own words in order to create a “participatory portrait”. This is to say that communication means above all collaboration and art can be a wonderful medium to emphasize this strong connection.
